Vascular Health & Chronic Disease

This research area covers all diseases of the heart and blood vessels, including coronary heart disease, stroke, heart failure and peripheral vascular disease. These are mainly caused by a damaged blood supply to the heart, brain and legs, and share a number of risk factors. Other areas of interest include the study of pancreatic development, pituitary disorders, stem cell biology, and chronic diseases such as diabetes.
