Clinical Research & Clinical Trials

Clinical research and clinical trials are a vital part of health care. The specific goals of clinical research include determining the effectiveness and safety of a new drug, device, or natural health product, as well as studying interventions that improve the quality of life of our patient.

Lawson is currently administering over 1,800 clinical research projects meeting or exceeding Health Canada and U.S. FDA standards. Clients include the NIH, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, consortiums and Contract Research Organizations (CRO's) from all over the world.

Over 500 clinicians and staff work in clinical research and clinical trials at Lawson and all of these individuals are also health care providers at London Health Sciences Centre and/or St. Joseph's Health Care, London. Expertise exists in most clinical areas.
