CSTAR (Canadian Surgical Technologies & Advanced Robotics)
CSTAR is a collaborative research program of LHSC and Lawson and is affiliated with Western. CSTAR contains an
Idea Development Lab, Engineering Lab, Pre-Clinical Testing and Training Lab and a Clinical Research Operating Room within the Perioperative Suites at University Hospital. CSTAR is considered a core research
facility within Lawson and as such, its resources are available to any Lawson scientist or associate scientist who holds a grant at Lawson to fund the scientist's research at CSTAR. Contract
research is also available.

CSTAR Multimedia Theatre
A world class facility that can seat 40-45 people and is connected to all of St. Joseph's new state of the art ORs as well as OR8 and throughout CSTAR at LHSC.
Services include multiple computer inputs on the podium, scan converter which creates a better computer image when presenting externally and full T1 video conferencing capabilities
through dedicated ISDN lines. The CSTAR theatre also has IP video conferencing abilities, VCR/DVD player, document camera, annotation device and wireless internet connections.
LAN connections are available for each seat in the theatre.
